The Lawrence family has expanded with a new member. Jacksonville Jaguars star quarterback Trevor Lawrence and his wife, Marissa, announced the birth of their first child, Shae Lynn Lawrence, in an Instagram post on Monday.
“Shae Lynn Lawrence. Born 1/4/25 at 4:01 am. 10 pounds 2 oz 🎀🩷. Mommy and daddy love you so much!!! Thank you Jesus for our girl!!” he captioned the post, which Melissa also shared on Instagram.
Trevor Lawrence is already stepping into his dad duties, proudly carrying his newborn daughter in a car seat as he leaves the hospital. In the heartwarming photos, the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback sports a “Girl Dad” hat. Despite his early December concussion and shoulder surgery, Lawrence is embracing fatherhood with joy and pride.
Trevor and Marissa Lawrence, married since 2021, have a long history together. Meeting in fifth grade, they started dating in high school, with Trevor excelling as Clemson’s star quarterback and Marissa playing soccer at Anderson University. Their enduring love story has continued to blossom through the years.
Trevor Lawrence’s 2024 NFL season with the Jacksonville Jaguars didn’t go as planned, with the team finishing at a disappointing 4-13. The 25-year-old quarterback played 10 games, throwing for 2,045 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. However, a shoulder injury in Week 9 sidelined him for a few games. Despite the struggles, Lawrence remains committed to the Jaguars, as he’s under contract through 2030.
The Jaguars had a tough season after reaching the AFC Divisional Round in 2022 and going 9-8 in 2023. The team fired head coach Doug Pederson and is now seeking a new coach to help Lawrence realize his full potential.
