Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has had some notable career changes lately, including movie acting in Happy Gilmore 2 and hosting a show on Prime Video’s Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, showing he is planning for life after football. The 35-year-old pop star is moving to Nashville after years of traveling between New York and Los Angeles, potentially indicating long-term relationship plans.
What is Travis Kelce’s dream after retirement?
Travis Kelce might not be ready to retire after this season, but he’s thinking about it. The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to make a deep playoff run to secure a third consecutive Super Bowl win, but tight end Travis Kelce may be focusing on Taylor Swift’s future plans as his career comes to an end and their relationship is advancing rapidly.
Former NFL cornerback Adam “PacMan” Jones has spilled what Travis Taylor’s “dream” post-football is to be centered on Taylor Swift-which includes ringing wedding bells, and kids in their futures for both Kelce and Swift. That is according to a source who was interviewed by RadarOnline.
“He can’t wait to be looking after Taylor 24/7,” the insider said. Dishing on his life after football, the source added, “He wants to be somewhere between a house husband, a mentor, and a manager. That’s his dream: to get married to Taylor and hang up his boots.”
Kelce signed a contract extension with his team, extending his contract by two years at $34.25 million, and expressed readiness to continue playing until the wheels fall off. “I really can’t put a timeframe on (retirement),” he explained, per The Athletic.
He added, “I love coming to work every single day. Obviously, I know there’s opportunities outside of football for me. You have to keep in perspective that I’m still a little kid when I come into this building, man. I know I’m 34 years old, but I have a love to do this right here, in the middle of the heat in June. I love coming to work every single day.”

Kelce says that for the rest of his post-football days, he might just be moving from an NFL Hall of Fame career to spend them with Swift. With Kelce and the Chiefs having a Super Bowl to win in 2024 still, Kelce thinks the pull to stay with Swift is too much to resist. In an ideal world, Kelce could win his third Super Bowl this season and retire, then be able to see the next chapter with Swift as the main character.
