Local players Ethan D’Souza and Junaid Siddique bring fresh energy and potential to the team, creating a well-rounded squad for the upcoming campaign.
Head Coach JP Duminy shared his vision for the season, stating: “We’ve got a mix of familiar faces and new talent, all of whom bring unique strengths to the squad. Success will come from winning critical moments and staying composed under pressure.”
The Warriorz refined their strategies during the off-season and implemented a new leadership structure. Southee and Duminy bring extensive experience from international cricket.
They have the full support of the squad. These seasoned players are champions in their roles and inspire their younger teammates.
“Kicking off well is crucial, and our focus is on executing our plans with precision. T20 cricket demands adaptability and composure, especially in high-pressure situations,” said Tim Southee, Captain of the Sharjah Warriorz.
The team emphasises the importance of starting the season strongly and executing their plans precisely. They recognise the need for adaptability and composure in the high-pressure moments of T20 cricket.
“Given the kind of players we have in the squad, picking a playing XI for the Sharjah Warriorz is likely to be incredibly tough, as we want to have the most impactful players on the field at all times. In franchise cricket, that is one of the biggest challenges, but we are confident that whoever gets picked will step up and perform on the day,” Southee added.
Selecting the playing XI will be challenging due to the squad’s depth. The goal is to field the most impactful players in every match.
This is a significant challenge in franchise cricket, but the team is confident that whoever is selected will perform well.
The Sharjah Warriorz, in their distinctive yellow jerseys, aim to convert potential into performance this season. Their focus remains on execution.
The Sharjah Warriorz will begin their campaign against the Gulf Giants on 12th January in Dubai. They will then face the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in Abu Dhabi on 15th January, after which they welcome the Dubai Capitals (17 Jan) and the MI Emirates (19 Jan) at Sharjah.
