Shakira sent her love to the immigrant community at the 2025 Grammys.
The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer, 48, on Sunday won the Grammy for best Latin pop album for “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.” The honor was presented by Jennifer Lopez, five years after Lopez and Shakira co-headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2020.
Shakira, who is Colombian, expressed support for immigrants in her acceptance speech.
“I want to dedicate this award to all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this country,” she said. “You are loved, you are worth it, and I will always fight with you.”
She also honored “all of those women who work really hard every day to provide for their families,” telling them, “You are the true she wolves.”

Shakira shares two children, Milan and Sasha with her ex-partner Gerard Piqué. She gave a shout out in her speech to her children, who attended the show, saying she is “so proud of you guys, of your kind hearts” and thanking them for “supporting me the way you do.”
Last year, Shakira shared in an interview with The Sunday Times that she put her music career “on hold” while in a relationship with Piqué and made “a lot of sacrifice for love.” The couple went through a public breakup in 2022, and Shakira later told People en Español that the soccer star “betrayed” her amid cheating rumors.
It was a big night for Shakira all around, as she also performed “Ojos Asi” and “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” during the show, marking her first Grammys performance in almost two decades.
In an X post early Monday, Shakira said she had “so much fun” with her performance and that “to be surrounded by so many great artists and friends in one of the best Grammy editions of all time was a dream.”
Shakira dropped “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,” her 12th studio album, in March. She now has four Grammy Awards, having previously won best Latin pop album twice before. She also won best Latin rock/alternative album for “Fijación Oral, Vol. 1.”
The singer is set to kick off her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour in February.
