Netflix is making it easier for subscribers to download their next flight-long binge.
The streaming giant has launched a new Season Download button, available Wednesday for iOS members, USA TODAY can reveal. The feature has been previously available only to Android users.
The highly requested feature allows users to download an entire season of a Netflix original TV season, unburdening users from tediously downloading each episode at a time.
“Whether you’re gearing up for a long flight and ready to dive into the new season of ‘The Night Agent,’ a cross-country train ride with ‘XO Kitty’ Season 2 keeping you company, or just planning some downtime offline, this feature has you covered with just the click of a button,” Netflix says in a statement.
To download a TV season, a user simply needs to tap the new download button on the show’s display page next to the Share option.

With one tap the entire season will automatically download allowing users to watch without internet use.

Top 5 most downloaded Netflix shows of all time
Netflix confirmed the five most downloaded Netflix original seasons on its platform:
- “Squid Game” Season 1
- “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story”
- “Squid Game” Season 2
- “ONE PIECE”
- “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”
Netflix added ‘Moments’ feature last year
Finding new ways to advance its streaming service, Netflix also added the mobile feature “Moments” in October.
The feature allows users to send clips from their favorite Netflix shows and movies across various social media platforms like Facebook and X. The update simplifies the process of sharing clips as the streamer has long prevented screenshotting and screen recording content.
The IOS addition of the Season Download button Wednesday comes after Netflix announced another subscription price hike for the new year. The price hikes will impact most plans in the U.S., Canada, Portugal and Argentina. The company told shareholders in a letter last week that the decision allows the company to reinvest for further improvements.
Netflix’s 2025 subscription prices include:
- The ad-supported tier at $7.99 per month, up from $6.99.
- The standard ad-free tier at $17.99 per month, up from $15.49.
- The premium tier at $24.99 per month, up from $22.99.
