Rocking Star Yash will be next seen in the action thriller ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ and the film is currently in the production phase. The film has completed the shoot in Goa and Mumbai, and now actresses Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, and Huma Qureshi are joining the set. Geetu Mohandas, known for her previous works such as ‘Liar’s Dice’ and ‘Moothon’, is at the helm of this project.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, the leading actresses recently joined the sets together and the camaraderie among these talented actresses has been a highlight of the production.
Recently, Huma Qureshi celebrated the occasion by gifting copies of her newly launched book, ‘Zeba’, to her co-stars. The leading ladies took to their social media accounts to share heartfelt messages praising Huma for her literary work.
‘Toxic’ is an action-packed film that dives into the dark world of drug cartels set in Goa. It features Yash in a prominent role, with Nayanthara playing his sister and Kiara Advani as his love interest. Huma Qureshi takes on the role of the main antagonist, while Tara Sutaria’s character details remain undisclosed. The film also includes British actors Darrel D’Silva and Benedict Garrett in key roles.
The teaser for ‘Toxic’ was released earlier this month to coincide with Yash’s birthday, showcasing him in a striking and intense look that has garnered mixed reactions from fans. The film is expected to explore themes of crime and family dynamics within the cartel world.
Although the makers initially planned for a grand release on April 10, 2025, there are indications that this date may be postponed. An official announcement regarding the revised release schedule is anticipated soon.
