The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 began with the rollover contestant Asha Gaur. Asha has come to the hotseat with a dream to create a safe home for dogs. Asha has ventured into share trading, is a homemaker and takes care of her pets and daughter. Big B quickly briefs about the game and starts with the first question.

Asha chooses option C and wins the amount. Big B then asked her whether she was interested in sports and she shared, “Since childhood, I have been interested in sports, I would play cricket with boys in my lane. I would join them in all games and then in school, I was in athletics. I would do shotput, jawline and all. Now, my daughter is taking the legacy ahead. She is shooting. She has played nationals in 10m Air Pistol and now she is pursuing 25m for nationals.”
Amitabh Bachchan lauds her and says, ‘I wish her name would come in headlines and she would make the country proud.’ Further, the host asked Asha what inspired her to take care of 50 stray dogs and cats. Asha shared, ‘In 2014, my husband and I were at a park, and we saw a dog that was unable to walk and was constantly falling. We thought his legs were tied but that wasn’t the case. We rushed him to the doctor and we were told that there was something in his stomach. The dog was extremely skinny. The doctor suggested to operate the dog and when they operated on him, they found pieces of cloth entwined with the intestines and iron strips. That is when something hit me deeply that we aren’t humane enough to feed them. Since then I have been taking care of them. The dog passed away but I decided to help how much I can.”
Amitabh Bachchan was extremely impressed, ‘You and your husband are doing a wonderful job. Keep continuing this good deed.’
