At 1 PM ET, the Kansas City Chiefs will be taking the centre stage as they gear up to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers today. But currently, there is a lot of speculation around whether Chris Jones, the Kansas City Chiefs defense will be showing up on the field today. Unfortunately, the answer is no since he is not fit enough to play today’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers as he is busy tending his calf that he had injured on last Saturday’s game against the Houston Texans that the Kansas City Chiefs ultimately won.

Chris Jones’ Injury Status And If He Will Be Able To Play Today Against The Pittsburgh Steelers

As per various reports, Jones was listed as DNP on the practice held on Sunday as well as Monday and it does not look like he will be able to make it to the field today to face the Pittsburgh Steelers. As Jones is expected to take care of his calf injury and not go out to the field to face the Pittsburgh Steelers, as per reports, the Kansas City Chiefs will be teaming up with other players in defense like Mike Pennel, Tershawn Wharton or Derrick Nnadi to replace Jones for today.

Chris Jones has been an exceptional player this season for the Kansas City Chiefs and has recorded only 1 forced fumble, 37 tackles and 5 sacks so far in this season of the NFL. On last Saturday also, even though he sustained a calf injury during the match against the Houston Texans, his contribution to the Kansas City Chiefs led to a whopping 27-19 win against the Texans.
Both teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers will have to release the list of inactive players for today’s match at 11:30am ET, which is approximately 90 minutes before the match begins at 1 PM. Apart from Jones, there is no other news about other players like the right tackle of the Kansas City Chiefs, Jawaan Taylor.
