Sunshine, Beaches, and a Tropical Vibe
For Rachel, it’s beach life. She loved the fact that “Being able to walk to the beach and jump in the ocean on a whim,” she wrote. The vibrant and active lifestyle of Miami is another upside:
“People are always out and about, happy here, and healthy too. I love seeing people running, biking, and walking to the beach, etc. 😎”
Also a love for the tropical climate and marine life. “Just seeing, for example, on a regular basis, just going in and out, marine animals, the beauty of natural surroundings of Miami,” Bush said.
Among the amenities that Bush found most satisfying were the ease of traveling and the variety of the city’s multicultural food, she said.
“The variety of food from different cultures… Easy travel in and out of the country,” Bush said.
From hopping on golf carts to visit local spots to enjoying country and beach clubs, Bush is clearly thriving in her new environment.
Reflecting on Their Buffalo Years
While Rachel Bush is loving Miami, she hasn’t forgotten the family’s time in Buffalo. Married to Jordan Poyer since 2016, Bush and her family spent seven years in Buffalo before Poyer signed with the Dolphins in March.
When one fan questioned if she misses Buffalo, Rachel showed great gratitude for how much time they spent there:
“There is nothing like Buffalo, and that is not a knock at anywhere else,” she wrote. “Because Miami is home, and I love it here, we’ve also been to other places I enjoy too, but it’s just the truth. … Change can sometimes be needed; it can be good because it really allows us to reflect on the memories and appreciate them so much more. 💙❤️

The Career Journey of Jordan Poyer
Jordan Poyer, one of the best safeties in the NFL, signed with the Dolphins after being released by the Buffalo Bills in March 2024. He started his NFL career in 2013 with the Philadelphia Eagles and then played for the Cleveland Browns before spending seven successful years in Buffalo.
Where change came along with the change from Buffalo to Miami, as the former is both his professional career, it definitely looks like the Poyers are embracing Miami as an open book of their lifestyles.
