“I'm out”: Tyreek Hill stuns reporters with his cryptic response when asked about his future with the Miami Dolphins

After the Miami Dolphins’ 32-20 loss to the New York Jets in the NFL playoffs, receiver Tyreek Hill left reporters stunned by questioning his future with the team. Hill’s comments came after he completed two catches for 20 yards and did not play a snap in the fourth quarter, which Coach Mike McDaniel confirmed he was informed about before the drive. McDaniel would not comment on Hill’s remarks during the postgame press conference.

Tyreek Hill hints that he might leave Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins wide receiver, Tyreek Hill, announced that he would leave the team after the Week 18 loss to the New York Jets and an 8-9 finish to the 2024 NFL regular season. When the reporters interviewed Hill postgame he said , “This is my first time I haven’t been in the playoffs. I’ve just got to do what’s best for me and my family. If that’s here, or wherever the case may be -I’m about to open that door for myself.”

Hill expressed his will of not wanting to play for the team that traded him three season ago and gave him a record-breaking $120 million contract.“Yeah, I’m opening the door-I’m out bruh,” Hill continued. “So, it was great playing here, but at the end of the day, I’ve got to do what’s best for my career and what’s best-because I’m too much of a competitor to be just out there.”
Hill mentioned potentially being done with the Dolphins earlier in the media session when he was asked how he felt about not reaching 1,000 yards in 2024. “Man, it is what it is. It’s life,” Hill said. “I feel like at the end of the day, there’s a lot of things that I need to reassess about my career. Just see what I need to do to continue get better as a player, so I can continue to reach that 1,000-yard mark.”
Hill had two catches for 20 yards in Sunday’s loss and finishes the 2024 season with 81 catches for 959 yards with six touchdowns. Its his 1st time falling short for the 1,000 yards mark since 2019 and he was limited to 12 games due to a shoulder injury. While speaking to the reporters, Hill said he had been bothered by a wrist injury throughout the 2024 campaign.

Head coach, Mike McDaniel on Tyreek Hill, “I’m not going to be too much weight on second hand postgame disappointment statements.We will see how next couple days progress in convos with him and I.” McDaniel also addressed Hill’s absence during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s loss, “ I was informed he was unavailable right before a drive. I was not informed that it was a new injury.Focus was on players in the field.”
The head coach told reporters postgame that receiver Hill declined to enter the game despite being able to play. Hill then posted on social media, “Love fin nation blessings y’all opened doors for the Hill family forever nothing,but respect and love.”

Hill, who topped the NFL with 1,799 yards receiving last season, finished this season with 959 yards on 81 catches, his third with the Dolphins. This was his first 1,000-yard receiving season since 860 with Kansas City in 2019 and his fewest receptions since 58 in that same season. Hill finished the 2024 season with 81 catches for 959 yards with six touchdowns.
