Kristen Bell and Dax Sheppard, a prominent couple from Michigan, were somewhat distracted during the Golden Globes awards show. Bell posted a video on her Instagram story titled, “Priorities,” showing she and her husband watching the Lions-Vikings game on his cell phone between his lap.
Metro Detroit natives Bell and Sheppard could be seen attending a game during an appearance by Harrison Ford and Anthony Mackie in presenting the award for Best Animated Feature. The Golden Globes nominated Bell for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series for “Nobody Wants This,” and “Hacks” took home that award for Jean Smart.
The Lions clinched the NFC North division, a bye, and the No. 1 seed in a historic 31-9 win over the Vikings. Detroit secured their 15th win of the season with Jahmyr Gibbs’ fourth-quarter rushing touchdowns, securing a bye in the first round of the playoffs. Gibbs had 139 yards on the ground and 31 receiving yards on five catches to help the Lions secure a home field advantage as the Vikings face the Los Angeles Rams in the wildcard round.
They ensured their second straight NFC North title, a franchise-best 15-2 record, and swept the season series from the Vikings, resulting in a 14-3 win. They are the ninth team in NFL history to win 15 or more games in the regular season, with only the 1984 San Francisco 49ers and 1985 Chicago Bears reaching the Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs also went 15-2 this season.

The Lions, the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs, have made it to the Super Bowl twice in a row. Their victory on Sunday places them in an excellent position to represent the conference in New Orleans on February 9. They will have a bye this week and face the lowest-seeded team in the divisional round on January 18-19.
