Megastar Chiranjeevi was seen attending a conference in Hyderabad, where the actor shared a heartfelt reflection on his family’s extraordinary achievements in the South Indian film industry. He expressed pride in the success of his son, Ram Charan, and his brother, Pawan Kalyan, whom he described as personal “achievements.” At the same time, he spoke about his desire for a ‘mega family’ akin to the renowned Kapoor clan in Bollywood.
Recalling a conversation with Pawan Kalyan, he shared how the dream materialised over time. “Recently, Pawan reminded me of something I said years ago. I’ve always wanted the Mega family to be like Raj Kapoor’s. Pawan told me I believed it with such conviction that we’re here today. I thanked God when a newspaper called us the Kapoor family of the south” he stated. The actor also shared that his family is his biggest achievement and he feels proud and happy when looking at them.
Chiranjeevi concluded his address by reiterating his gratitude for the audience’s love, which has made his family’s cinematic journey possible.
The Konidela family’s influence has extended beyond Chiranjeevi’s contributions to South Indian cinema. Chiranjeevi’s daughter, Sushmita Konidela, is a respected costume designer in the industry. Moreover, his nephew, Varun Tej, recently married actress Lavanya Tripathi. Meanwhile, Pawan’s son, Akira Nandan, will soon foray into acting.
On the work front, Chiranjeevi is gearing up for the release of ‘Vishwambhara’, directed by Malladi Vassishta, which is now expected to release in summer 2025. Meanwhile, Ram Charan will be seen in ‘Game Changer’, alongside Kiara Advani. It will hit theatres on January 10.
