Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is no stranger to fame on a global scale. She rose to fame by representing India on an international level. And now once again after being in the industry for decades, the actress once again has garnered global recognition as she has been featured on the official social media accounts of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The page has shared a video clip of her from ‘Jodha Akbar’ movie with a special announcement that Aishwarya’s character – Jodha’s wedding lehenga from the movie will be part of an exhibition for the Academy Museum.
“A lehenga fit for a queen, designed for the silver screen. In JODHA AKBAR (2008), Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s red wedding lehenga is a feast for the eyes: vibrant zardozi embroidery, centuries-old craftsmanship, and a hidden gem—quite literally. Look closely and you’ll spot a peacock, India’s national bird, made entirely of jewels. Neeta Lulla didn’t design a costume; she crafted a legacy. Step into history (and color) at the Academy Museum’s COLOR IN MOTION exhibition,” read the post. This post showed a glimpse of the lehenga draped on a mannequin.
The post went viral instantly. Fans couldn’t contain their contentment. and it was visible in the comment section. “Dear Hollywood, Can you beat these aesthetics,” wrote one, “So academy finally recognised Aishwarya Rai Movie,” wrote another. Other comments that melted hearts include – “It’s the ACADEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! featuring showing JODHAAAAA AKBAAARRRRRRR 😵😵😵😵😵,” “Finally indian iconic movies are getting featured on the academy page,” “The Caption – @neeta_lulla didn’t design a costume, she crafted a legacy 🙌 Such a beautiful classic piece of Indian Cinema.
