In India almost every child dreams of being a Bollywood star. We breathe movies, the songs, and the choreography run in our veins. We are talking about the ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ fame Girish Kumar.
Girish Kumar made his debut in 2013, with the Bollywood remake of a Telugu film ‘Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana.’ This Hindi film was titled ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya,’ and in it, Girish starred alongside Shruti Haasan and Sonu Soon.
The movie created a buzz in the award circle, earning Girish nominations across three shows. However, when it came to box office success, the movie failed to impress.
Thereafter, in 2016, Girish was seen in ‘Loveshhuda,’ a romantic comedy alongside Navneet Kaur Dhillon. The stars of this movie also didn’t align with the box office success codes.
Moreover in this particular time frame, other budding artists like Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Ayushmann Khurrana, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, and more were trying to find their way and carve their niche. A lot of them were able to find a footing, while some solidified their place after a few setbacks.
Girish by this time decided that acting perhaps is not something that can help him prove his true potential. Thus, when he re-entered the entertainment industry, he came as a corporate bigwig, who now runs a company worth ₹10,000 crore.
Girish joined the Tips company as the Executive Director. His experience in the media and entertainment industry and his degree of Bachelor in commerce helped the Tips empire to reach new heights. With his business acumen in 2019, the Tips distributors served more than 1,000 wholesalers and 400,000 retailers across India. The company as of December 2024, has a market cap of ₹10,517 crore, according to a Moneycontrol report.
Further, if we talk about Girih’s net worth, it is around ₹2,164 crore, according to Trendlyne. It is much higher than a lot of Bollywood’s successful actors, who haven’t even reached the Rs 1,000 crore mark. He is even wealthier than the perfectionist of the industry – Aamir Khan whose net worth is ₹1900 crore.
