‘Marco’ makers have indeed delivered what they have promised! The most violent action flick has now collected more than Rs 14 crores in just 3 days.
According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Marco’ has collected Rs 14.20 crores from India in 3 days, and on day 3, Sunday, the movie has collected Rs 5.25 crores as per the early estimates by the website.
Coming to the occupancy rates, ‘Marco’ had an overall 78.86 percent occupancy on December 22, Sunday with morning shows at 70.61 percent, afternoon shows at 79.86 percent, evening shows at 83.62 percent and night shows at 81.36 percent.
On day 1 ‘Marco’ had collected Rs 4.3 crores from India with Rs 4.29 crores from Kerala and Rs 1 lakh from Hindi. On day 2, Saturday the movie had grossed Rs 4.65 crores with Rs 4.63 crores from Kerala and Rs 2 lakhs from Hindi markets.
Haneef Adeni’s directorial is praised to be the most violent action flick ever made in Mollywood. Even though the first half only sets the pace of the film, the second half surely delivers! Unni Mukundan’s stylish avatar and swag are getting much praise from the viewers. Kabir Duhan Singh’s violent character is another notable factor in the second half.
Overall ‘Marco’ is surely the winner this month, along with Aashiq Abu’s ‘Rifle Club’ which is also getting good reviews from the audiences. ‘Marco’ has surely set a benchmark for action thriller movies in Malayalam and deserves all the praises it’s getting.
All eyes are now on Mohanlal’s ‘Barroz’ which will be suitable for the family audiences who are in for a fantasy adventure movie.
