Unni Mukundan’s action-packed entertainer ‘Marco’ has started its box office rampage. On day 2, the movie minted an extra Rs 4.65 crores, which is impressive.
According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Marco’ has minted Rs 8.95 crores from India in 2 days, and on day 2 the film has collected Rs 4.65 crores as per the early estimates by the website.
The total Indian collections for the Unni Mukundan starrer amounts to Rs 8.95 crores with Rs 8.92 crores share from Kerala and Rs 3 lakhs from Hindi regions.
On day 1 the movie had collected Rs 4.3 crore from India with Rs 4.29 crore share from Kerala and Rs 1 lakhs share from Hindi regions.
Coming to the occupancy rates, Haneef Adeni’s directorial had an overall 75.54 Malayalam occupancy on day 2 with morning shows at 64.81 percent, afternoon shows at 76.40 percent, evening shows at 74.44 percent, and night shows at 86.49 percent. Reportedly the action flick is expected to mint Rs 35 crores on its opening weekend. The movie had minted Rs 2.25 crores in pre-sales.
Directed by Haneef Adeni and starring Unni Mukundan as the titular character, ‘Marco’ is getting praise from the audiences for its violent action sequences. The makers are said to have delivered what they have promised: The most violent movie ever made in Mollywood.
The movie hit the big screens on December 20 and received tremendous responses from movie buffs, especially for delivering what was promised by the team through trailers, and promotional interviews. ‘Marco’ surely turns out to be one of the best action thrillers ever made in Mollywood.
