Cowboys defender Micah Parsons has expressed his desire for Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill to join his team for the 2025 NFL season

Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill had hinted at this being his last game with the team, when Dallas Cowboys star edge rusher Micah Parsons playfully recruited him on Twitter, a day after his frustration. Hill did not play the final two possessions of a 32-20 loss to the Jets, which ended the season with 959 yards and six touchdowns, both his lowest marks in five seasons. The 8-9 Dolphins would have missed the playoffs with a win, anyway, as the 9-8 Denver Broncos blew away a resting Kansas City Chiefs outfit at home to lock up the AFC’s seventh seed.

Micah Parsons asks Tyreek Hill to join the Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys Micah Parsons has reportedly pleaded his case to Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill on social media, even though Hill has indicated that he is leaving the Dolphins. “[Tyreek Hill] we can be the fastest duo in the league!!!” Parsons wrote, tagging Hill’s rw9 username at the front. “We also don’t have state income taxes!”

Hill remained largely unconvinced about the future of the Dolphins following the season finale. “This is the first time I haven’t been in the playoffs man so I mean, for me, I just gotta do what’s best for me and my family dog. If that’s here, if that’s wherever the case may be,” he told reporters. “I’m opening the door. I’m out bro. It was great playing here, but at the end of the day I got to do what’s best for my career. I’m too much of a competitor to be just out there.”
Miami’s front office and wideout Hill have reached a restructured deal, but Hill has had some concerns regarding production and usage. Following two 1,700+ receiving yard seasons in 2022 and 2023, he managed only 959 yards for 2024-25. If Hill lands with the Cowboys, he might complement CeeDee Lamb as a true star receiver.
“It would be unfair for me to match emotion with emotion,” Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said of Hill’s comments “Right after a game when your season ends, when you are fighting for it to extend and with the full belief that you have the ability for that to happen.”

“I’m not going to make a rash judgment on something that, again, it’s a little cloudy in the heat of the moment for multiple reasons,” he continued. “So, I know clarity will be found and you do move forward with conviction as a football team, and I’ll look forward to having conversations with him this week.”

The Dallas Cowboys lost 23-19 to the Washington Commanders, falling to 7-10 after three straight 12-5 seasons. Parsons recommended the Cowboys take Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty with the 12th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. He confessed his attraction to Georgia linebacker Jalon Walker, explaining how he would fit with him, 2024 third-round pick Marist Liufau, and DeMarvion Overshown.
