Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer highly awaited adventure drama film, ‘Thandel‘ will be released soon in theatres. A recent report suggests the ‘Dhoota‘ actor is charging four times more than his co-star.
According to a report by Siasat, Naga Chaitanya reportedly charged between Rs 15 crore to Rs 20 crore for his role in ‘Thandel’, marking an increase from his previous fee of Rs 10 crore for upcoming projects. In contrast, Sai Pallavi received Rs 5 crore for her performance in the film, meaning Naga Chaitanya is earning four times more than his co-star.
‘Thandel’ is touted to be produced on a budget of approximately Rs 80-90 crore, and the filmmakers are banking on a grand release to ensure strong box office returns. The film revolves around the life of a fisherman from Srikakulam who accidentally drifts into Pakistani waters while fishing with others. It explores the hardships faced by these fishermen as they struggle to return home to their families and loved ones. The real-life inspiration behind the story is expected to resonate deeply with audiences.Directed by Chandoo Mondeti and based on a story by Karthik Theeda, ‘Thandel’ features a talented cast including Naga Chaitanya as Raju and Sai Pallavi as Satya.
