NEW DELHI: Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh on Saturday shared a heartfelt message for Sachin Tendulkar, who received the Col. CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award at the BCCI Awards ceremony in Mumbai.
The prestigious award was presented to Tendulkar by ICC chair Jay Shah during BCCI’s annual ‘Naman Awards’ event.

“Congratulations master on winning the CK Nayadu Lifetime Achievement Award.For every cricketer of our generation, you were the one who showed us that dreams are achieved with relentless hard work and unwavering belief,” Yuvraj wrote on Instagram.
“Your impact on the game and on all of us who had the privilege of sharing the field with you is immeasurable. Much love and respect always,” Yuvraj concluded.

Tendulkar, often referred to as the ‘God of Cricket,’ entertained cricket fans worldwide from 1989 to 2013.
The Mumbaikar began his Test career at age 16 against Pakistan in Karachi on November 15, 1989, followed by his ODI debut on December 18 that year.
Tendulkar holds the record for highest run-scorer in international cricket with 34,357 runs in 664 matches at an average of 48.52.
His career includes 100 centuries and 164 half-centuries, making him the most prolific scorer in cricket history. He was the first player to score a double century in ODIs and appeared in 200 Test matches.
In ODI cricket, Tendulkar scored 18,426 runs with an average of 44.83, including 49 centuries and 96 half-centuries.
His Test career yielded 15,921 runs at an average of 53.78, with 51 centuries and 68 fifties.
Tendulkar’s career peaked when he helped India win the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2011, fulfilling his dream that began with his World Cup debut in 1992.
