The Recording Academy will recognize some of music’s best and brightest at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards this weekend.
Despite the ongoing devastation brought on by wildfires across Southern California, the academy announced earlier this month that the show would go on. Music’s biggest night will be held on Sunday, Feb. 2 at Crypto.com Arena, formerly known as the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.
The ceremony, where excellence in the music industry across genres and the globe is recognized, will feature 94 distinct awards. Comedian Trevor Noah, who has served as host for the star-studded awards show for the last four years, will return to the stage to shower those in the music industry with awards and introduce performers before they hit the stage for their performances.
Beyoncé leads the pack with 11 Grammy nominations for her countrified “Cowboy Carter” album, followed by Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone, who all received seven nods. They’re all trailed by a trio of artists scoring six nominations each: Taylor Swift and Grammy newcomers Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan.
A diverse slate of nominees, including André 3000 and Jacob Collier, will go head-to-head against pop music breakouts Carpenter and Roan for the coveted album of the year award. The category also features big names, from the award’s most decorated artist, Beyoncé, to four-time AOTY winner Swift.
